another great asus product
screen does what it should. I would have ordered from new eeg or elsewhere as I am not huge on getting electronics from here but I was able to get next day delivery so it was worth it.Screen def has the blue reduction on it and does not strain the eyes as much. i sit at a computer all day and have 2 of these. For the price they are good screens. they do not have speakers which is fine but overall I would recommend. These are just as good as any higher end screens out there

Solid and reliable.
I purchased two of these monitors just over 3 years ago, and it's about time to write up a review on them. Simply put, they've been perfectly reliable over the entire time. There's really nothing more to say here; I haven't found any issues with them that don't also exist on everything else as well. I've had no issues with screen tearing, no color quality quirks, or any problems at all. If you want something that will last, this is definitely it.

Dead Pixels + Missing Screws
Gave this 4 out of 5 stars because amazon did issue a full refund. Missing the screws needed to attach the monitor to the base (not necessarily a huge deal since I ended up wall mounting it.) But after about a week of use, I now have a dead pixel almost dead center and then another in the lower left quadrant. Disappointing to say the least, I'll probably buy a competitor's product with the refund.

Great all-rounder
Great quality, decent speakers and multiple inputs. Got this as it is able to charge my Lenovo Legion Go via the USB C connection while also providing the video connection to the screen!

My new Kitchen TV
I turned in all my cable boxes and I’m now watching TV through apps on the ROKU.This 24” monitor replaced an old 19” Samsung TV, and it has a lower profile! better picture, has color adjustments to get rid of the blue tint. It does lack being able to watch at an angle, if your too far off center you’re unable to see as a HD TV would allow. It was a $500 investment for everything because I also purchased a modem/router and an additional ROKU. I’m saving $65 a month, so it will pay for itself in under a year.I highly recommend getting an inexpensive mini sound bar with a remote. The computer speakers I attached to the monitor has adjustments but a remote volume control would be nice. I’ll get it next month.I usually listen (when I'm alone) through the iPhone ROKU app, it allows the volume to go through my iPhone which is hooked up to my Bluetooth to headphones. I can also run a Bluetooth speaker through the phone. This is simple for me but my family says too much work, so I’ll get the mini sound bar.

Not to confuse NVIDIA GSYNC with adaptive sync -- manual: G-Sync is NOT supported - updated
Update: compared to an ASUS PA27JCV for $800, this actually is a very good monitor. Despite the increase in resolution, it is difficult to see the difference with photos downloaded. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. The color palette can be adjusted on each and I get fairly close to the JCV.In the Amazon description: "Supports both Adaptive-Sync with NVIDIA GeForce* graphics cards and FreeSync with AMD Radeon graphics cards *Compatible with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series, GTX 16 series, RTX 20 series and newer graphics cards". It does NOT support G-SYNC which the manual shows and the description does not state just to be clear. A blog said "gtx 1060 supports adaptive v sync, it also supports fast sync". Probably not confusing to an avid gamer which I am not. So it doesn't really matter to me but at first glance may be confusing. The manual has an X by NVIDIA G-SYNC:NVIDIA G-SYNC ✗AMD FreeSync ✓Low Blue Light technology ✓Flicker-free technology ✓VESA Adaptive Sync support ✓AMD FreeSync type FreeSyncI think this ASUS VA24DQ has great color and intensity out of the box. I checked it with the Windows 10 Calibrate Display Monitor and didn't change anything. I noticed the color intensity and depth immediately. I wanted a VESA mount to get the monitor off the desk top. It is sufficiently wide and high for general computing which is all I do with it (23.8 inch diagonal). With a Display Port, HDMI and VGA (sub-D) it should work well for many people. This replaces my 32 inch curved display which frankly was too large for general computing.
