I guess you get what you pay for? I can "install" these onto pedals just fine, it's just that they don't maintain a shape that makes it possible to insert your foot without using your hands - which is fairly impossible to do while sitting on the bike and also subjected to Earth's gravity.

The media could not be loaded.  I wanted to be clipped in but didn’t want to spend $100 on shoes and $100 on pedals. These straps are a pretty good substitute for a fraction of the price. I rode them around for a while after I got them installed. Installation was super easy, but I quickly realized they needed to be anchored to the pedal better to make getting in and out easier. The strap wanted to slid off the front of my style of pedal when I took my foot out and tried getting it back in without hands. I anchored all four corners of the pedals with plastic zip ties and now they work great. I can take my foot out and get it back in no handed fairy easy. I’d highly recommend these if your on a budget. They’re made of a sturdy thick nylon. You may need to melt the seems with a lighter to stop the fraying, I had to. All in all a good value, just be careful if you use zip ties not to clip the webbing if you have to remove them.

Last Christmas we gave our son who had autism an adult tricycle, the pedals didn’t have a strap so my son would not have his feet in a good position and would lost the pedal with the movement. That’s why we needed this. They work perfect, easy to put, easy to adjust to any feet width, easy for my son to take the foot in and out, just perfect in every sense.

As expected

We have tried several types of pedal straps during the last few years. Some of these were quite costly but did not suit us. So we tried these pedal straps and they were perfect for our recumbent tikes. They are adjustable, hold you foot securely and they come in several colors. And the best part this the price is great.

Got to start learning on a fixed gear bike. For the price it's great to start learning how to backpedal. But, if you're already into it, just get pedals with toe cages / clips. They are much better, look better, and last longer. If you wanna try on a pinch, might as well go for these then. Would recommend just getting clips/cages though.
