An instant favorite
I have owned maybe 30 overdrive pedals over the past 30 years and still have at least a dozen in my 'collection' and I can absolutely tell you that none of them have made me instantly happy the way this Timmy does. Granted I am more mature these days and my expectations of one pedal completely revolutionizing my tone are more realistic but from the minute I plugged this in and set it to low gain, reduced bass and increased treble I absolutely loved not just the subtle tonal changes but also how it 'felt'....and then I turned the gain from 9 oclock to 3 oclock and couldn't believe how much gain this tiny pedal has available! I may buy another and set one for rhyhthm, the other for solos. Seriously fantastic pedal.

It's a Timmy®!
I own a Timmy v2 and this sounds almost identical. It's the tiniest bit more compressed, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The bass and treble controls on a Timmy are fabulous (the order of knobs L/R top to bottom is the signal chain, I've read, wonderfully simple and intuitive design, and an important concept to understand when using the Timmy). This Timmy doesn't have the "backwards" sweep on the knobs like the full size does, as well, which I also quite like. The Timmy can be used as a simple but powerful EQ, as well as a huge clean boost, light or dirty OD, and even a volume or tone cut, if you set it up that way. It's just an excellent piece of kit, a real desert island device. Having it so small makes it even better! Put two on your board to get the most out of it! Cut, boost, drive, EQ - your imagination is the limit.

Great light to medium OD tones and more
I think Don Carr from Sweetwater said it best…”…I think we can all agree, yeah, it does that ‘thing’. And that thing is not get in the way of your hands, guitar, and amp.” It’s true…it does exactly that ‘thing’. High headroom that keeps your organic tone intact, and dial in the gain as needed. EQ is super easy, treble and bass are cut only…so just take away what you don’t need, or max the dials out for your full tone. The clip toggle provides wide open symmetrical clipping (center position), a slight compressed asymmetrical clipping (left position), and noticeably compressed symmetrical clipping (right position) for the stylings that fit the moment. The miniature format helps keep that pedalboard space management in check. It stacks great with other pedals (I have mine going into a JHS Morning Glory, then into a Wampler Tumnus Deluxe)…it’s all the tone I could need out of an overdrive stack. 10/10 would recommend!

Picture is misleading
Picture shows mxr patch cables In photo but received the cheap made in China ones. Not cool!

Good Overdrive
Good versatile overdrive. Kind of like a tubescreamer but some clipping options (how edgey sound you want) and a treble/bass control. I get a little thicker sound than a tubescreamer. Not the best at heavy gain, just a good light overdrive.

Input Jack has Failed
I really liked this pedal and it had a permanent place on my pedal board, until lately. The input jack has failed. I can get it to make contact if I jackass the 1/4" patch cord around until it makes contact. But, it won't last. The jack is not a "regular" 1/4" input jack. I wanted to take it apart but you would have to remove the switch nut and all of the nuts on the controls to get the circuit board out. I'm not gonna do that! I bought this from Amazon in January, 2023. It has been acting up for a while and getting worse. Not Happy!

An excellent Timmy and the package is a good value
You've probably heard the Timmy sound. It's understated, engaging, and genre defining. This one is very well done and priced right.
