New miter table and I like to be able to measure from either side. This is perfect! The metal tape is wide and lays perfectly flat. The double sided tape used to adhere it is ultra strong. I wish I could buy that separately.This tape will go in a track or can be embedded if you wish. If you flush mount as I did, no worries, the tape lays perfectly flat and adheres well to plywood.What I did and a trick for applying the measuring tape to the double sided tape.Using an 8' level across my saw I marked a line in pencil and applied my double sided tape above the line. Using a quality, accurate, magnetic tape measure set to the kerf of the blade I made a few reference marks on my table in pencil. At roughly the 2' and 4' mark I gently sliced the backing of the tape and peeled the backing upward about an inch on either side of the mark. I put the measuring tape back in place (double check it's on the kerf of the blade) and with the metal tape lined up over the double sided tape I pressed the 2' mark down where the tape was exposed. I repeated at the 4' mark. I then took the tabs of the backing and pulled them away pressing the metal tape down as I went. As long as you don't press down hard on it, you can re-adjust if necessary. On my actual saw, I placed the tape 1 1/2" above the surface on the back.My table is accurate down both sides within 1/16"

I purchased two roles of the measuring tape. One was to replace the beat up rusted one on my t5 year old Craftsman saw (back from when craftsman made good stuff) I put it on the fence bar on both sides of the blade.I also made left and right side 8' fences for my miter saw. I was able to cut the tape in half and apply it to each fence.The adhesive is included in the kit, but on a separate roll that must be applied to the material before the tape can be applied. It was real easy to do and held firmly. Be sure to thoroughly clean the surfaces with something like fantastic, then wipe it down with a generous amount of rubbing alcohol.If there is a sticky residue from a previous adhesive, put baby oil on it and let it soak for a few hours. Scrape off the remaining residue and clean it thoroughly with the fantastic first, then the alcohol.

Worked great for my chop saw station. Cut it in half at the 8' mark. Because one side is left to right and the other side is right to left, I used it on my guide fence on both sides of my chop saw station. Now when I need to make one or more cuts I simply set my shop made stop's at the right spot and cut. No more having to measure and mark for each cut.

This is a great item. The tape is metal, the adhesive is very strong and has no problem keeping the tape down on your workspace. This tape reads left to right AND right to left on the other side, so you can use either side you need...and if you do not use it all, you simply flip it over and have another tape to use.

Installed easily. Flattened out well after unwrap. DF tape works fine. Easy to read. Cuts easily using scissors. Used on aluminum extrusion cutting station. 16 feet left and right. Quality product. Good value

You can by one rule and cover two sides (right and left) of a mitre saw or router fence. The adhesive on the DB tape is awesome. I have used these on Mitre Saw and router fences.

Al abrirlo me topé con el error que cometí al no fijarme que la graduación de la cinta está en pulgadas, sin embargo, al ver la calidad tan buena del producto, decidí evitarme el proceso de devolución y utilizarla tal y como está.Me ha funcionado muy bien, solo hay que tener una calculadora a la mano, jejeje.

Used this tape on a crosscut sled for my table saw. Nice feature is the r to l reading on one side and the l to r on the other. I only needed 3 feet so I had about 13 feet left over. I was able to cut the tape so that I had several pieces that started, either r to l or l to r at a zero (for example, cut at 40 inches, I had the zero of 40 and the 1, 2, 3 etc. For simplicity I painted out the 4 of 40, 41, 42, 43 etc. Was able to use the pieces on an auxiliary router fence. Installation was simple and easy and adhesive seems to be holding well.
