Q: When I got the collar it says "chrome plated steel"... is this the same as curogan? I'm confused.

No. Curogan should be a copper color and should be better for allergies. Chrome plated is silver and cheaper. Also can bother skin allergies. There is a large price difference as well. Chrome is much cheaper.

Q: Are there extra links to buy that match this color and size?

Yes they are the 2.25 size. Chances are when you get the collar it will probably have a few additional links as it’s usually too long for the dog you’re gonna be using it on so there are some extra links usually there. But you can buy additional links on Amazon

Q: How do I order additional links?

I never could find additional links with this finish. I bought some black ones. Also the finish on these links causes a greenish brown stain on light colored fur.

Yes, it worked well for my dogs...did not turn their white necks a dingy grey.
