Q: Is this just for 2 x. 5 x and 10 times tables? Or does it do 3 times 4 times and all the way up to 12 times?

Yes it’s only 2 5 and 10 which is the first tables my granddaughter was taught in Year 1. She found the game fun and gave her an awareness of the times tables.

Q: Would this be ok for a 5 year old? Or perhaps too early?

It's quite hard to say as it depends how keen the child is to learn maths. I bought it for my grandson for his 7th birthday as he loves anything to do with numbers and was learning multiplication at school. It's a really fun game and would definitely help with learning times tables. I hope this helps although it doesn't really answer your question. Are you able to find out whether the child in question is starting to learn their times tables at school. I think generally this starts around 6-7 years old.
