Since so many of the more natural home color kits didn't cover my mom's (mildly) gray hair, we had all but resigned ourselves to switching to a non-natural brand. This was my last attempt at trying something less toxic, and we're so glad I did. This product actually works to cover gray (after speaking with a customer service representative, we left the color on her hair for forty-five minutes instead of the recommended thirty minutes). The scent is relatively mild and pleasant, and the formula didn't irritate my mom's scalp, skin, nose, or eyes in any way. Also, the color is true to what you see on the box. We definitely plan to purchase this one again.

As someone who has tried every ppd free and vegan line known to man at this point ...I cannot recommend this product enough....when I use ppd my glands swell,my face blows up,I get scabs and swelling along with a terribly itchy scalp which makes me have to take allergy meds ....I was so skeptical about this product bc like I said I've tried all the "ppd free" out there ...and nothing was ever dark to take to my hair ...well this is incredible ...absolutely no itching ,swelling, burning...literally NOTHING ...and bonus the color cane out gorgeous and dark and COVERED MY GRAYS :) please take it from someone who is so TERRIFIED OF HAIRDYE ...u will not regret it

I’m normally highly allergic to hair dye and cannot use it and have been searching for years for a dye I can use. I took a chance on this after reading reviews and am so happy I did! No reaction (I was shocked) and my hair looked so natural and felt soft. I signed up for a subscription because I like the results so much. Very subtle and natural, just what I was looking for.

Great color and shine. It just doesn't last very long.

Shipping was super fast with this product. I didn’t end up using it. I decided to go with a different hair color, but I have used this product in the past before and it is a pitch black black but not with the illness. It definitely has a hydrating depth to it I would definitely recommend

I gave this hair color product two chances to work.The first time I only colored my grey roots. Coverage was good and covered the greys, but the 30 minute process time should probably have been longer. Color was lighter than expected and began to fade sooner than I would have liked. I’ve used other versions of Schwarzkopf Color Hair Color in the past and knew what to expect. My hair was undamaged. The included conditioner wasn’t very good and I’m not sure it did anything. Other conditioners made by Schwarzkopf are much better.Thinking I didn’t process long enough the first time, I gave this stuff a second chance. I left it on my hair for 45 minutes. Grey roots came out much better, but color tone was a bit darker than I would have liked, but was close to the color on the box.Jump ahead just two weeks and the color has faded dramatically. Color on the length of my hair is at least one shade lighter than before and my roots are only tinted light brown. Color level of 6.0 is now closer to 7.0.My biggest complaint is that Schwarzkopf Simply Color Hair Color 6.0 Cool Brown just doesn’t last. It faded so much, I’m recoloring only two weeks later.I’m giving the product a generous three stars only because it didn’t damage my hair and if I didn’t mind recoloring every two weeks, I could.The verdict? It’s ok if your primary goal is to avoid chemicals, like ammonia, otherwise use something else.

I decided to take a break from dark to medium brown.Different was nice, just a tone down not dramatically lighter.

This product covers gray within 25 minutes on my client with 80% gray.We searched for a color that was gentle on her scalp, no redness no itching. I highly recommend using this product
