Good wrist support
I recently bought a heavy bag and a pair of 12oz Lonsdale gloves. After just one session on the bag my wrists were buggered for a good week or so. I didn't want to mess around with traditional wrist wraps for the sake of 15 minutes on the bag so decided to pick up a pair of these and some 16oz Everlast gloves. My wrists have been fine ever since. The gloves have gel padding over the back of the hand and over knuckles to provide some additional protection. They are a good amount of tight on the hand and feel like they are providing plenty support. The wrist straps are very long so you have plenty to wrap yours wrists with and overall they seem good quality and well made. The first time I wore the gloves the stitching around the finger holes did rub a little but that stopped after the first use.My one small gripe with the gloves is that the logo on the back of one of the gloves started to peel off after the first use and is as good as gone now. The logo on the other glove has also started to peel. This doesn't affect the gloves in any way but is something that will probably want reviewing at some point as I have seen it mentioned in a few of the reviews.

Great quality boxing mitts
I still train along with my sons and while they have tended to mainly use wraps I've always stuck to the mitts. The reason is more for convenience than anything although I've never had much trouble in training on a punchbag for periods of up to an hour with the mitts becoming uncomfortable. The one problem that tends to happen over time is that the gel padding starts to slip backwards away from the knuckles, leaving them unprotected. This pair of mitts feels much higher quality than I've used before and the gel section starts closer to the fingers and feels much more secure. I haven't worn them for any significant length of time but if they deteriorate quicker than expected I will return and update this review. The overall quality is impressive and they feel great during the few training sessions I've already had.

Poor wrist protection
Sadly these gloves just do not offer enough wrist protection. I was using them along with 16oz boxing gloves when I was training for a charity boxing event and unfortunately had to quit half way through training as I badly damaged my wrist. It’s been around 8 months now and my wrist has still not fully recovered and I may have caused myself permanent damage.I feel that if I had been using the standard hand wraps that most boxers wear, this would not have happened.I had to learn the hard way. I just hope that the same thing doesn’t happen to anyone else.My advice is to stick to the standard hand wraps. Boxers must use them for a reason.

Good wrist support and knuckle protection - but...
Good:- Good+ Good support from the wrist straps+ Good quality gel- After the first session the white Beast Gear logo / name was peeling off both gloves. To stop them looking bad I peeled them off completely. This doesn't impact the functionality at all - but I don't expect wear like this to happen so quickly.- The finger openings are too tight. After reading other reviews, I ordered the large size (hands normally between medium & large but with slender fingers). The rest of the glove fits quite well (I probably would get more hand support from a medium but fear the finger holes would be way too tight). I'm hoping the finger openings will stretch with use but it's not happening yet and I may well end up cutting them as it's too uncomfortable.

Great product, awesome quality
I am not a professional boxer. Recently I took up punching bag as part of my workout routine. After a few weeks I noticed some painful sensations with my fifth digits(pinkies) on both my hands. Internet advised traditional wraps, but honestly, I can’t be bothered to do a full wrap, that takes 10 minutes, for a 15 minute routine. There was one source that advised gel wraps and thank God I found and got theese and they were from Beast gear. They’ve arrived yesterday. There is an awesome storage bag included, very handy, the wrist wraps are very long and provide additional support for wrists. After a very intense 20 minute workout my hands felt like I spent a day at the office typing emails, rather than punching the hell out of the bag. Great product, awesome quality, superb attention to detail! As a free marketin and product advise - there are other beasts than gorillas, I’d love to have these with a squid/puppy/shark logo;)

Awful quality.
The stitching on these wraps are poor. The yellow elastic bits are bulky and uncomfortable. They space your fingers out which makes it really awkward to ball a fist. I tried cutting the yellow bits off, and this just revealed the poor quality stitching inside the glove too, as only a thin layer of stitching holds the soft gel knuckle protection in place. I managed to cut one glove okay, but the other one had the gel come loose.I will still try to use what remains of these gloves, but I'll still need normal wrist wraps in order to hold the gel in place. Which defeats the point of buying these gloves in the first place.Only positive is they're fairly cheap, but it's a waste of money. I'm going to buy something a bit more expensive now.

High quality as always from Beast Gear!
I have come to love this brand, I started off with the speed rope and have added in fat grips, the mouth guard and now these mitts. The quality throughout is top notch. The mitts fit snug over my hands and are not restrictive when clenching your fist like other cheaper alternatives. The wraps are not elasticated which from experience doing kickboxing for 6 years is an absolute must for wrist support! Solid support and overall 5 stars!Thank you beast looking forward to training tonight!
