Replacement Remote for Fire TV Stick & Android TV Device -Compatible with Fire TV Stick,Fire TV Stick 4K,Fire TV Stick Lite,Android TV and Box.(Without Voice Function)

The original fire stick remote stopped working a month after we got it. This one won't even pair up at all. It says you can use it for this but there's no way to pair it! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I bought this remote to use on my 2nd Gen Fire TV because the old remote uses up batteries too quick. It doesn’t work at all. It won’t pair with the dongle. I don’t know if I received a defective unit or if they are all like that.

What I thought I ordered was a replacement remote controller for a Fire TV Stick receiver for Amazon Prime Video. And this thing very well may be one. It sort of looks like my old controller, and has some of the same buttons. However it comes with assorted extra adapters and wires and a USB receiver whose purpose I don't understand. And it comes with a minimal set of instructions written in pidgin English that is completely unenlightening as to how to make it work. I can't say for certain that it doesn't work. What I can say is that I was unable to make it work with the sketchy information supplied with the device.

If you are looking for a fire sitck remote this may work. It will not , i repeat will not work both fire tv stick and tv. It has a little usb dongle kinda like a wireless mouse that plugs in an adapter that comes with it. It hooks to the fire stick by via you unplug the power going in to fire stick and plug in the included adapter harness, then plug the power wire that originally plugged in the fire stick then you plug the dongle in the same harness. Useless if you want to control both the tv and the fire stick.

First off, most of these remotes with the USB receiver work the same. They have a little USB wireless radio which connects to the remote when it gets power. Fine if your device is already on and sending power to the usb port, but if you need to turn the TV/device on from it's off state then the USB receiver needs power. That's what the included cable is for. It lets you plug your usb receiver into a power outlet so the remote can communicate. Annoying, but it works.If you're not seeing a keyboard when you go to a type something in with your remote, it's because the remote is actually a physical keyboard with a custom layout. Each key represents a key command that you'd find on a typical computer keyboard. To get around loosing your virtual keyboard in Android you will need to install another keyboard from the play store, like leanKey.I'm using this remove on a Sony Bravia with Android TV, and the button on the top right (the submenu button) doesn't do anything for me. Same with the Pg + and Pg -. Maybe if I used it with a cable box, but I stream everything. You can remap the unused buttons to something more useful with the Button Remapper app in the play store.Everything else works as expected. The remote is simple, button clicks are solid and responsive, and I haven't had issues with the range.Two big issues I have with the remote:1. The translucent cover on the top of the remote is NOT for infrared. Do not get this remote if you expect it to control an IR sound system with the volume keys. Unless they included the window for a different model that has IR electronics, it's unnecessary and misleading. My TV came with an IR blaster so that when Android gets the VOL + or -, it sends an IR signal to my soundbar, otherwise the volume keys would be useless.2. The product picture is a rendering, and isn't fully accurate. Between the power and submenu, and the home and back buttons are two pin holes in the case. One is for a red led that flashes every time you press a button, and the other hole is empty. The empty hole looks like its meant to have a microphone installed, but there's not one there. It's just an empty useless hole leading to the inside of your remote.

Works perfectly, exactly like original. A bit expensive since it was 2/3 of the price of the original remote WITH fire stick for just the remote but when your kid loses the remote and you havent found it for weeks, beggars can't be choosers.

Worked fine on my fire stick 4K(my dog chew the old one) I didn't have to program, worked right out of the box.

The description says it's "Compatible with Fire TV Stick(1st and 2nd Gen),Fire TV Stick 4K,Fire TV (1st,2nd and 3rd) and Fire TV Cube", but it didn't pair with the dongle plugged into my fire cube. The fire cube doesn't acknowledge anything plugged into it's micro usb port. I also couldn't pair with a usb keyboard so it might be my cube.I prefer the layout of the buttons on this remote over the amazon fire remote. Too bad it didn't work out.

Hard to rate yet only had 2 days. Worked right out of the box. I'm praying that it last longer than firestick remotes. So far so good thank you for this great remote
