It is healthy.
Edit: I have had a few and they are going down easier. I am getting used to the taste. It’s really not that bad.I can’t lie- I don’t love the taste. I am drinking these as an addition to meals. However, regardless of the taste (it tastes exactly as you would guess the ingredients may taste, in cold soup form). I started to drink it quickly, to “get it over with”. Not the best idea. It is nutrient-dense, I recommend taking your time with it, if you are consuming it as I am. Perhaps while you read a chapter in a book or something distracting. This is my first order- I am not sure if I will continue, based on taste alone, but I give this ten stars for promising high-quality, organic, plant-based nutrition. It is excellent in that regard.

I'm a care giver and it is an absolute life saver for my advanced throat cancer fiance
We were a 3x workout a week, organic, sugar-free, simple carb-free, alcohol-free and smoke-free household. a small, hard, smooth, unmovable lump popped up on my fiance's neck after a chiro appt. that seemed like it was attached to the SCM last December. The chiro said it was nothing to worry about, it's probably spinal fluid and will go away. We got a biopsy in June (because of COVID shut down) and it came back negative so we started the homeopathic lymph detox (about 15 tinctures, pills, oils all day and night), then medical grade THC from Rick Simpson. After 8 months of this we go back in August and low and behold it IS cancer. Only now it's advanced. While we thought this lump on the lymph was the problem it was actually a 'primary' tumor on the back of his tongue. In the process of waiting to get treated because of 'The Pandemic' it has grown to where his vocal chord is paralyzed from the tumor and he cant talk, he can only drink broth and has lost 40 pounds over this time because eating has become so difficult. The acid a tumor produces in the body in addition to the coughing from mucous production and burning from eating cause unbearable pain 'like a torch' he says. I've bought all 3 of the peptide formulas (this plus, silver and keto). i read on the Functional Formularies site the peptide version is the best for adults because they include amino acids needed for healing. As the tumor has gotten bigger and his taste and smell have become so sensitive i can't even eat dip with garlic in it next to him w/out him agonizing in pain from the throat burning, the green pouch seems to be the only one he can eat because it's mild. The other 2, esp. keto has a slight bitter after taste but not unpleasant. I added a shot of apple cider vinegar plus a squirt of Lakanto Maple flavored syrup to them and i thought they were DELICIOUS. sadly still burned his throat... Once he gets the feeding tube it will probably be a different story but while he's eating it orally i've been going through boxes of the green peptide formula. How to prepare for tasty ORAL consumption:i shake the bag real good because it collects at the bottom, pour it in a 2 cup measuring cup (squeeze it like a toothpaste tube to get it all),> fill the rest of the measuring cup up with Nana's chicken soup (just the broth) from the Whole Foods hot bar or your favorite broth stock.> add a scoop of Great Lakes Co. Grass fed Collagen powder for extra protein.> cook it in the toaster oven at 425 for 8 minutes.I then pour it in a stainless steel mug (ceramic or glass) with a stainless straw w silicone tip so it doesnt burn his mouth. it's savory and delicious with the added broth, syrup and apple cider. otherwise it has a pleasant, mild taste which is still palatable. There is nothing on the shelf you can buy at a store that is organic plus as healthy as this. It either has high salt, sugar, too strong garlic or onion, crappy ingredients and filled with hard foods he cant eat. What can i say to convince you this is the best feeding tube food on the market other than this testimony? I hope this helps you in your decision process and makes life a little easier as a care-giver, as it has for me.

This is a fantastic formula!
This is a fantastic formula, I haven’t found anything close to it. My wife is on Hospice, so Medicare pays for the usual brand. To me it’s worth paying for Nourish! The other brands first three ingredients after water were Corn syrup (High Fructose). Sugar feeds cancer, and this is worse than sugar! Soy Protein Isolate, and Canola Oil, both of which we try to avoid! The only thing that was a little bit of a negative is that we had to mix in some water so it would gravity feed. I suspect it is formulated for a pump, but that is not a problem. That means we are actually getting more food for the money, instead of paying for water. To find an organic, all natural, all plant (and we are not vegetarian) no added sugar, no artificial anything is a dream come true!

Tube clogs
I had high hopes for this product however, the food is not blended well enough to put through a feeding tube. I added water and puréed it some more and it still clogged my tube. I wouldn’t recommend this product for tube feedings.

Don’t pay for expedited shipping
The product itself is good. Has a decent expiration date. It’s expensive, but you already knew that.We paid $29.95 for expedited shipping to arrive within three days on a Thursday or Friday because we were almost out of the food for G-Tube feeding. Shipment arrived the following Monday afternoon, which is when the free shipping would have arrived. We ended up having to get an emergency sample from the hospital to continue the feeding routine. Now trying to get a refund for the shipping fee. This process isn’t easy. Going through all the electronic messaging between Amazon and vendor. The product vendor is advising to file an A-Z claim. Not so easy. The option for “refund” says that the product isn’t available for a refund because it’s a food item.So here I am. Late product and wasting time and energy trying to get my useless shipping fee back. Not having much success. Will probably become exasperated and give up and never order from here again.

Good caloric content, great for traveling
My son is allergic to so many foods, so I usually make his tube feeds at home. Nourish is perfect for traveling and nice on those days when I want a break from cooking and blending.
