Indiana Jones Men's All Seasons Outback

My husband has this hat and loves it. He gets compliments whenever he wears it. As a matter of fact, we were on vacation and visiting friends overseas. Our friend kept commenting on how much he liked the hat and how much he wanted to find one just like this one. We ordered him one and sent it to him. His wife says he never takes it off! LOL It's been over a year now and he says it looks as good as new and is comfortable. My husband has had his for years. It still looks as good as the day he got it. You can squash it and put it in your travel bag. When it's gotten dirty we just brush it off. And the amazing thing (I just didn't know or expect this) was when we got caught out in a downpour. We were soaked to the skin and the hat was dripping. We laid our clothes out to dry. Not so much luck with our clothes, but within a short time this hat was COMPLETELY dry and there was a small puddle of water below it. It just wicked off the water! Fantastic buy! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys wearing hats!

I have been wanting a hat like this for a while, but was not willing to spend $50 or more for it. I saw this one and figured I would give it a try.While I have just gotten it, so far I like it. I will follow up over time with how I like it.I ordered a XX-Large since I wear a 7 3/4 hat size and my head measures right at 24 1/4, but it is a tad large. Not anything crazy big, but I am worried a strong wind could blow it off. I am keeping it though because several have said it shrinks a little over time when getting wet, so hopefully that is the case. I do find the top of my head touching the top of the hat, but not deforming the top.The color of mine is a brown color, but in certain light does look a little greenish/olive color. Only 1 of my pics is close to showing the true color (the one with the discoloration on the brim), but it is a brown hat.My hat came in a large box, just big enough to keep the hat in its shape (see first pic), none of this "crammed into a small bag" that others have had issue with. The shape of the hat in the pic is how I received it.Yes, this is an Indiana Jones hat, and proudly displays it in 3 places. Only one is visible when wearing (the metal tab on the leather trim piece) and it is easily removable. It does leave 2 little holes though, but can easily be put back on if you want. I don't think it is a big deal either way. There is also a tag inside the hat as well as an imprint on the inside of the brim. Again, you can't see it when your wearing it.The only real negative I can say about it is mine has a little wear spot on the back right brim (last pic). It is a little greenish looking. Not sure if it was from shipping or just a manufacturing issue, but not enough of an issue for me to return it.I get quite a few complements on it from strangers, and even without seeing any "Indiana Jones" markings (I left the metal tab off), everyone seems to know it is Indy's hat, but that is OK.

I saw these at Disneyland and then at Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida. They really look great, but I decided to purchase on Amazon--at @ 2/3 the price!This is a wool felt hat. If you want to step up to the big time, get a genuine Akubra from Australia. They are made from rabbit hair and are called a "fur felt" hat.But, for what it is, and the cost, this is a great hat! I get many complements on it. I treated it with Bickmore "Gard-More" water & stain repellent--available here on Amazon. It sheds water and will resist stains. I recommend that step.A couple more notes on hat care: a hat like this should never be rested on its brim--as shown in the photo. Flip it upside down, or else the brim will sag. Or you can purchase a wooden hat stretcher here on Amazon, put a 3" screw on each corner of the wider sides [the side that says "Hat Jack"], cover the screw heads with plastic screw covers...then flip it over and you have a handy hat stand that will also keep your hat in shape. These hats can [read WILL] shrink after a rain or wearing while perspiring. Also, don't pick it up like Indy does in the movie--by pinching the crown! You'll damage the fabric over time and end up with a split. Rather, pick up the hat with 2 hands--one on either side--and place it on your head. Same for removal.Enjoy!

After recieving the hat and taking a good look at the hat I noticed that I got a different hat from the one in the picture. The hat I got came with bow instead of the leather strap as shown in the picture. Overall I still like the hat its quite comfortable and light and has the Indiana Jones Logo on the side pin and on the inside and the color is not as dark as in the picture but it is brown.

I have had this had for awhile, wearing it constantly. I have a large head, this was one of the few hats with the features I wanted that went up to 7" 7/8. I ordered the 2X size and hoped it would be big enough. I thought about getting the 3X just in case, but I am glad I didn't. The hat is too big, but I managed a workaround by putting strips of closed cell foam inside the hat band. Like some others reviewers, I thought the hat had too much cowboy and not enough Indiana Jones in the shaping of the brim, but a hot iron with lots of steam soon took care of that and I am happy with the shape now. I have not, but most certainly will, change the hat band from the crappy faux-leather band to a proper grosgrain band sometime in the near future. What I like about the hat is that is solidly made and has proven to be warm over the winter. Once I fixed the brim, I really liked the style and have gotten several compliments on the hat. Really, the only real beef I have with the hat is that it came too big, but that is shortcoming of ordering something online more than I think of as a manufacturing problem. Would I recommend the hat? Yes, but understand it probably won't be perfect, but will offer a great value for the money spent.

I am in love with this hat... it's not only the most comfy hat I own... it fits PERFECT... the quality is TOP NOTCH and it's worth EVERY PENNY. I can't recommend this hat enough if you want something for all seasons, looks great, and has that touch of Indy.

I've had this hat for 2 seasons now.I wear it every day, no matter what the weather.It has stood up very well.
