Love Songs

Oh, Otis, you died way too young, but your songs live on and are loved by so many.The passion in his voice, the songs he wrote that others made famous, what a talent who has given me hours of listening pleasure! Just the right album to complement so many moods!I hear Otis sing Love Man, and always think of Patrick Swayze dancing to it (in Dirty Dancing). I only wish Otis could've seen that!

In my Amazon Cloud and I love it. Wish I could find the song "I'm Amazed" that I was given from a demo 45 when young that evidently never made it. I have searched long and hard but cannot find that beautiful song that he did way before he became famous for "sitting on the dock of the bay" which I never had the same feeling for. The style and softness of his voice when singing the song "I'm amazed" as well as the funny song on the flip side of the demo was played until worn out and never seen again. If anyone out there knows how to get hold of that song of his please let me know. My girl was dedicated so often to me when I was young I thought it was "my" song, LOL. I wasn't vain, just young/idiotic. Most of us have been there at some point growing up. Love his music still and glad to have it. SaraBeth

I am not kidding. I have many CDs and love all kinds of music, from Rockabilly to Gregorian Chants by way of the British Invasion and Classical. However, this is my most cherished CD. I can't imagine a collection of greater talent, songs that dig into your heart, power and sweetness,and all good things. I have two, just in case something happens to the first and I can't locate another very quickly. This man is the best.Recommendation--listen to this with the lights out, particular while listening to the first 7 songs.Magnificent, and I don't use that word lightly.ss

Another compilation of Otis redding’s work. This time it’s his.love songs, begging, pleading...and still, there’s none better at displaying his raw emotions. If you do not already have these songs, it’s highly recommended as an introduction to his music.

I bought this cd for my husband. He was leaping about like a 16 year old ( he's 62 )He said it took him back to his youth. So hence 5 stars. I would recommend its brilliant.
