This table runner is absolutely gorgeous! So elegant and classy. It has a dazzling sparkle that only adds to its beauty. It does however move easily. So I followed another reviewer’s advice and corn starched it (recipe below). It is now much “thicker and more rigid,” holding its shape better.Cornstarch recipe:—In a pot, add 2 cups water and two heaping tbs corn starch. Mix well until all corn starch has dissolved.—Bring the mixture to boil while stirring constantly. Once the mixture starts to thicken, remove from heat and allow to cool off.—When the mixture is warm to touch, pour it into a spray bottle. Spray the table runner generously and start ironing, keeping it in between two protection sheets. So you are ironing the top sheet as the table runner is underneath it).* if you don’t have a spray bottle, you can just immerse the table runner into the corn starch mixture and squeeze the excess out.*

So, I kept this little table runner because it was the color and modern style I was looking for. Like another review stated, it does look like a piece of fabric that was just cut into the shape of a table runner. If I knew where the fabric came from, I could’ve cut it myself. It moves and slides around very easily if it’s being used on a table that’s used often. I am going to try and starch/iron it to see if it stiffens up...but I intend to keep it regardless because it looks great on my table.
