Only brand my dry eyes can tolerate and best price I could find. Glad to find this at Amazon. Prone to corneal abrasions due to dry eyes so ophthalmologist suggested this for nightly use. Would have continued regular nightly eye ointment, non- medicated otherwise! (I also use warm compresses, eyelid scrubs, antibiotic drops prescription. All of this is to say that I don't think this is an eye ointment you use without medical advice and eye exam.) But it does make it possible for me to open my eyes in AM without feeling as though they are ripping loose from lids! So I will continue to pay recently inflated price.

I have two partial cornea transplants and my body of too dry. The ointment is essential for the health of my transplants. I use the ointment at night because my eyelids do not close all the way, so the ointment helps to keep my eyes lubricated instead drying out when U an askeeo,. This drops work wonders for my wife. She has two places on her eye ball that are patches of severe dryness and the opthomologist recommended these drops. They are great!

This product works great. But is very expensive for mere ounces.
