Pros• They added an on/off switch directly to the USB port, which is helpful when you don't have the remote nearby.• The product responded to the remote fairly reliably.Cons• First, these are much smaller than pictured. The first picture (at the time of writing this review) shows an adult human hand for scale, with two cord bundles next to it, the left one at least 5" diameter and the right one at least 7", depending on the size of the person's hand. In reality, the size of the bundle is not more than 3" diameter, and the LED's and remote are that much smaller to match. It's better to look at the USB plug to gauge for scale.• The buttons on the remote do not produce the effects they advertise: · There is absolutely no way to get a deep purple color or anything close to it, with any combination of buttons. The deep purple button produces an extremely light pastel, lighter than a grape soda stain on a white t-shirt. · There is no white. It quickly became clear to me that this product is simply a mixture of red, green, and blue LEDs at different intensities. The blue LED is inherently brighter than the other two, so "white", which is all three at equal intensities, actually produces a pastel blue, even bluer I believe than a 6500K bulb. · The flash/strobe/fade/smooth buttons don't do what they say. There were only three functions ("strobe" and "smooth" do the same thing, if I recall) but they are also wired to the wrong buttons, where the "flash" button actually does "smooth", "fade" does "flash" (or something like that), etc. · The colors in general aren't what is shown. The Red, Green, and Blue buttons are accurate, but the button below Red is simply Red=100% / Green=20%, and the next is Red=100% / Green=40%, etc.• Returning this product is a bit of a pain, since the battery in the remote qualifies it as a HazMat item, which requires extra steps to print another color label.

I purchased these lights from Amazon a few weeks ago because I wanted to accent the table that holds my television. They are operated by USB, which is what I wanted. These are the kind of lights that one would want when you are trying to lighten area that requires a lot of turning of corners. The lights are on a thin wire which is actually good. It does not seem brittle or cheap in any way. I used some double-sided tape placed every few feet in order to adhere them to the table on the sides. The lights are adequately bright and are great for accenting just about anything I would think. Remote control works fine and comes with the battery already installed. The only thing that I would be aware of is that you have 16 feet of LED lights, which is actually quite long. Better too long than too short. If you're just trying to do a small area, you may want to go with a shorter lighting system. That being said, I really wanted something with the remote control, something that was very durable, and something that was powered by a standard USB port. And that is exactly what I got.

I LOVE these little lights. I have them plugged in by my kitchen sink and turn them on in the evening, off in the morning. Prettier than a kitchen night light. Color choices are great. Remote control working great so far. I was switching out strings of colored lights and now I can leave these lights up and just change the color. I bought a second set so I can have 2 different colors across the window.

This led string has NO MEMORY! So if you plan on using with a smart outlet, timer, or if you get a power outage the lights goes back to cycling color mode. I had multiple led string lights connected to smart plugs controlled by dusk til dawn rule on Smart Life app. I bought these lights since they were 16ft and was perfect for my one window but every time the leds scheduled to turn on these were the only ones not keeping their previous setting.

I got these lights for its capability. The lights work fine, except, I was looking for natural lighting colors. Warm or White. OF ALL THE SETTINGS/BUTTONS, I cannot land on Warm or White lighting. The "White" setting is LIGHT BLUE!, and the warmest setting is ORANGE.So, if you're looking for non Warm or White lighting, this thing is great, not what I was looking for.

We bought these lights to string around the top of a hammock chair that we hung in my 13 year old daughter’s bedroom. We happened to have a nearby outlet in the ceiling so that worked nice to not have to string a cord somewhere. They look great and the remote with the different color options makes for a fun, customizable look.

I bought them to give some light during the night on the stairs. Enough to walk safely without turning the light on, not too much that bothers when you are half asleep if you got to be up in the middle of the night. they are also beautiful and decorative without being like a Christmas tree like but with the options, they can be like when the time of the year comes around.
