Great product

I bought the double pack of 10’ and one 5’. Both sizes provide a surprisingly powerful air flow, plugged in and on alkaline batteries. They are very quiet, similar to a white noise machine. The 5” only takes batteries, so I ran it on high for 4 days, all day and night, without having to change the batteries. I spent weeks researching, with exception of tiny handheld fans, every fan I found only takes rechargeable batteries! If your power is out for weeks, how are you supposed to recharge any type of battery???? I have lived on the Gulf for my entire 52 two years of life. Through three major hurricanes, tropical storms, and random blackouts in the hottest parts of the year. I wish I had these earlier.

After experiencing several lengthy power outages due to summer heat and storms, we decided that the one little battery powered fan we had just wasn't quite enough, so we ordered these fans. Made by a subsidiary of the O2Cool company, these fans are nearly identical to the one we've had for several years. These use 6 D-cell batteries where the old uses 8, and these don't have a carry handle; otherwise, these are essentially the same fans. Two speeds, quiet, easy to move, no prone to tip over due to the weight of the batteries, very convenient to use. We haven't had to use them yet, so I can't attest to battery life, but our older fan is still running on a set of batteries we first used two years ago. That set is removed when the fan is stored, but when in use, that set has operated for several days and nights now. If the new fans are as efficient or better, we expect to be very happy with the purchase.

Preparing for hurricane season in FL. They take a lot of batteries but they work perfectly. Will just need to keep batteries on hand. Like the price for two. Quiet and puts out a nice breeze. Didn't rate the battery life since we aren't really using them...and hope we never have to!

Ordered 2 fans and the first fan tested, both the battery & the electrical both worked but second fan tested, I used same new batteries that I had tested the first fan with and the battery part would not start but the electrical did work. Noticed on the fan that does not work that the battery section is divided into right and left sides for the placement of 6 batteries, with the polarities clearly marked on the left side but no polarities marked on the right side with the unmarked side having shorter metal connections which affects where the batteries can connect unlike the fan that worked with both right & left side’s polarities clearly marked and metal length for connecting was equal length. Will upload pictures to show difference in fans sent to me. First photo shows both right and left sides of fan that works with both sides polarities marked and metal connection lengths equal lengths. Second photo shows close up of right side of fan that batteries failed to operate and shows no polarities marked and metal lengths shorter and uneven. Seller did get back to me and states will replace defective unit. Will update review when receive replacement and it works. But did appreciate sellers quick response when told would send new fan. However that was days ago & have not received any further update as to tracking number or IF a replacement is actually on it’s way. Have had to send another message to seller to request information regarding when they plan to actually provide further details regarding this issue.

I like the quietness of the fan, perfect size for the space I have available.

This fan is just what I needed as a backup for when there's a power outage. It's quiet & has enough power to keep me cool till the power comes back on. I also ordered one for my Dad, for the same reason. I haven't checked the battery life, but so far, am really glad I found these.
