Resurrected a few pottery barn lanterns. Fit perfectly and could not be more pleased.

These small clasps are of pretty decent quality, and they look nice with the antique finish. I used some slightly larger screws than those provided, because I couldn't afford to have the heads break off during installation, as reported by some purchasers. VERY reasonable price!

These are great little hasp closures. I am making a corset for Halloween and wanted this type of closure for the front. Took me forever to figure out how to even search for them. Anyways - these are lightweight metal with flat backs & slightly inset screw holes so good to use on leather or canvas too. I used pop-rivets to secure them to leather trim. They came with tiny screws if you are using them for wood or plastic applications. They have just enough curve and a snug fit hook-to-eye connection to stay securely closed while wearing the corset. The corset also has laces in the back so I was able to cinch it up tight and use the hasps in the from to easily get it on and off. I love the vintage brass/bronze look - perfect for my steampunk outfit. So happy that I was finally able to find these and very impressed with the quality. Perfect for my project.

Good quality well made

I like these latches. They are solid and not pressed sheet metal. They look very nice. They are spring loaded such that they stay closed resulting in a positive latch. They are small enough for the top half to fit on the edge of a 1/2" thick lid of a box. They are fairly easy to install although the screws are of necessity, very small. You will need a very small phillips head screwdriver to install them. I didn't have any trouble with the screws bending as reported by others. I assume the screws are also brass. They are not self-drilling. You will need to drill a pilot hole at least as deep as the length of the screws. I would expect installation to be nearly impossible if one attempted to install the screws with pilot holes too shallow or with no pilot holes at all. Maybe that's why other reviewers had problems with the screws. I made a quick count, and I think they come with one extra screw which is important to me especially with screws this small.

First off, I didn't realize that there were five latches in an order. I needed two so I ordered two and received 10 in total. Bonus I guess As I opened the package and seen where it was made, China, I thought, "here we go again" but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. Each latch has a built-in spring loaded feature that keeps the latch open or closed. Nice. Yes, they are small, but so are the two jewelry boxes I made. They are just right.

Even though these hooks were to small for me they are very pretty

The latch itself works great and was easy to install. I marked where the screws were suppose to go with a pencil then tapped a small nail into the wood about 1/4" deep. That's all you needed to install the screws. Easy peasy. But the top piece( that has the hook part ) had some small nobs on the back side that if you didn't file them flat would not allow the piece to fit flat against the surface of the wood. All of them had it so you'd have to file them down. I just used one so I only did that one, but it's annoying that you have to at all. Otherwise, the latch worked just fine once it's installed.
