Simple mod to allow your Dreamcast to work over HDMI
Quite tight with both the connection into the Dreamcast, as well as the HDMI cable into the unit itself - but it works quite well. When a game doesn't work, you simply switch off, flick the switch to RGB (from VGA) and I haven't come across a game I haven't been able to play yet. Most work with VGA, but some of the older ones are RGB.

Amazing !!
Playing the Dreamcast is so much fun but getting it setup was always a pain with modern TV's. In particular if you wanted to stream to Twitch.Anyway, I have been using this Adapter for a few days now and absolutely love it. Plug into the back of the Dreamcast and HDMI cable to the TV, it's that simple. I'm sure there are others who can give more details on the technical side but as a regular gamer I am very happy with this purchase and easily recommend.

Must have for m odern day TV`s but beware...
Can`t fault this for the price. Got it running on a 55 inch OLED and as far as 640x480P outputs go, looks fantastic. But beware with it converting VGA to HDMI output, its sending a PC Full RGB colour space output (0-255) not limited (16-235) which is whats used on most media devices. If you are noticing all your black levels seems crushed, with no detail this is why. Most modern TV`s allow you to set this in settings under hdmi black level, which you want on high. Make sure your TV supports full RGB colour space range though. If not, you might be best of going the VGA cable route on a monitor or older tv`s that used to support VGA.Other that that, if you want to relive the glory days of the best Console of all time, this is an essential purchase!

Ultimate HD adaptor Dreamcast
Have seen reviews on this item before I purchased it. It the latest version and does not need an additional power supply it’s just plug and play. You need to adjust the size of your picture it’s so good best hd converters top end don’t have much on this most reviews where more than happy on YouTube with this one and after trying I agree. I would recommend this over any other unless you spend £130 but the difference is not worth the money unless you want more than one console converting. Buy it while it’s in stock

works on some TVs and not on some others
PROS:-It works with the correct TV settings-It is indeed plug and play-VGA option is a game changer to upscale at 1080p and further 4k by the TV itselfCONS:-Flimsy build-Very long, makes storage and display of the console difficult if you set the console together with other consoles in a switch setup-Does not work well on all TVs regardless of settings-2 or 3 seconds blackouts from time to time (not too often in fairness)-Not all games work well (Sega Rally 2 was showing temper tantrums for example)I have 4 different TVs, 3 of them are LG and one Samsung. For some reason, in two OLED TVs with the exact same cloned settings, one shows extremely sharpened and with huge pixels and the other one performs amazingly well.I would understand this if the one showing the worst results was the larger screen with the same resolution. But that's not the case, the one showing worse results is the one with smaller pixels but the same 4k output. Then swapping to the 4k Samsung shows results halfway towards great but certainly playable.Hooking a Marseille dongle to the converter does not improve results in my experience, if anything, it makes things worse. All in all, if you manage to be lucky and have a TV that handles the image upscaling well, you will be very pleased with the results, lack of input lag and experience overall.I wish the dongle wasn't that long so the console could be displayed on a smaller shelf.
