The Art of Crochet Blankets: 18 Projects Inspired by Modern Makers Kindle Edition

I pre-ordered this book, and I expected to find unique designs for crocheted blankets. That is exactly what the book offers, and they are beautiful. Had I waited before ordering, I would have had the opportunity to read the other reviews. Although lovely, I don’t have the advanced expertise required to attempt any of the projects and I hadn’t picked up on that from the description.

Beautiful designs but the instructions don't give stitch counts for the pattern rows so you have to make adjustments yourself. Tricky!

Amaaazing content delivered in a refreshing light! I have followed Rachel for a number of years and was excited to see her first book released! She draws inspiration from a number of places but it's her artist's eye for color and design that makes this book a must-have addition to the fiber artist collection.Can't wait to make these blankets!!

These are crochet blankets you will not find in your ordinary book! Intricate, colorful, modern and fresh designs. I've loved Carmona's patterns for years and this book did not disappoint. I appreciate the clear instructions. I'd say this book is for the intermediate to advanced artist... But the way she lays out instructions, a beginner could do it also! Not to mention, Carmona is always involved in connecting with her Tribe! Got a question? She's there. What more can you ask for?

This book is a keeper for anyone who crochets and is looking for a modern vibe. I am amazed with how these projects look even with inexpensive yarn that the designers use. I am intrigued by an unusual acrylic one pattern used by the Ombre Striped Afghan! If you are a knitter, you can easily use these patterns for inspiration or adapt. This is a wonderful collection for my book library.

I M INSPIRED AND ENTHRALLED BY táchele Carmona’s book, the art of crochet blankets: 18 projects inspired by modern makers. What wonderfully inspiring artists: weaver, graphic artist, textile nd paper art designer, quilter. The crochet that she created based on these makers’ work is new, fresh, a cut above traditional or even “modern”crochet. The Kindle edition is flowing, photography, close ups too, some graphs and written directions along with a color chart and color code make this book easy to read while providing comprehensive construction guides. I get the Kindle for s-ace reasons and this book didn’t disappoint.

Wow, I can't wait to make these amazing Crochet Blankets. The pictures are beautiful and I am finding that the clear instructions are easy to follow. Kudos to the author, Rachele Carmona, for a Fantastic book.

Wow! These are not your grandma’s granny square afghans! I love how Ms. Carmona has drawn inspiration from other artists and blown some fresh air through the craft of crochet. It has definitely elevated crochet to an art.I’m a long-time fan of Cypress Textiles, and while I read descriptions of what she was working on, it didn’t really click until I purchased the Kindle edition of this book and started paging through. These graphic art blankets could definitely make their way onto a wall where they could be admired all the time.Some of them are more difficult, but a couple of them look downright simple. I think most crocheters would be able to start with the simple pieces and work their way through the more difficult designs.

I think that it is easier to follow instructions from a book, but accidentally bought the kindle version by mistake and can’t see any way of rectifying it. It has some nice ideas, but not sure I’d want to buy it twice!

I sent this book back as I found it confusing. There is too much information in it , so much so I had a headache after going through it!
