Extremely well written introduction for those that want to avoid most math
This is an excellent introduction to medical imaging that avoids getting into the high level mathematics and signal processing of medical imaging. It is an excellent source for getting at the concepts behind medical imaging. It is a wonderful read for most pre-med students or medical students who do not have a strong mathematics background beyond Calculus 1.

Great book for learning the basics of Medical Imaging
I bought this book for a senior level Electrical Engineering course in Biomedical Imaging at Michigan State University. The book does a very good job of covering the fundamentals of X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine. I actually read the entire book and have found it to be a valuable reference in learning the material. This books will be most helpful to those that have a solid background in math covered in an undergraduate engineering program, especially Fourier Transforms which are essential in these imaging techniques.

Yes this is a college book colleges use
It's the book brand new and just as expensive to rent from college book stores used. The was a really good deal and saved me money and time.
