The Walking Dead Vol. 28: A Certain Doom Kindle & comiXology

Well, that sucked... but in a good way... I guess. A very moving issue that, as always, leaves me frustrated for the next 5 months or so. A few things that have bothered me with the last few paperbacks:1) with multiple, large communities, it gets hard to keep track of who is who when shifting from main to secondary characters and there isn't enough space to do that in an effective manner.2) there are very few "new" characters that I really care about, so when some of the older characters aren't in an issue or die, it can leave a really large "feeling" gap.3) the herd strategies employed are hard to understand and don't seem to make much sense but maybe that's just me.On the plus side, the development of the main characters continues to be well written and I like how Rick is able to adapt and change based on circumstances. I am also looking forward to learning more about the mystery community that Eugene has been keeping to himself.

this volume has way more splash pages than any previous volume a lot of pages with no dialogue in multiple frames and a lot of just filler between the flash pages lets just say savors are dealt with 100% again and that was disappointing it was an accident.....-_- the 5 star revies are mostly for what happens at the end ill just say its been along while since a main character died "we don't die"

I don't know I used to love these lately it's just the same old same old bad guys show up. Shit happens, someone may or may not die.. and now when they do ehhhh who cares any more. Sorry

I enjoyed the story progression in this arc, some great scenes of the horde descending and interesting character development. From the tragic farewell to a favorite character to the developing relationship with a distant community, it had a fairly solid story despite the slower pace.

Without diving into spoilers, this is a great volume in The Walking Dead saga. It opens with an epic walker assault that gets quite intense, and then the book takes an unexpected turn that left me quite sad. Great read overall. 5 stars!

Repetitive. There are just no story lines left for Kirkman, so I am starting to feel sorry for him, trying to keep this thing going. However, I've loved the series for so many years, I'll keep on buying them. This one offers no surprises, really, but it was interesting enough to keep me reading.

Great volume! However, I'm very upset with Kirkman and co.! How could they do that! (Being vague on purpose)

It's getting to the point I'm wanting an end to THE WALKING DEAD. We're starting to revisit a bunch of points that don't really need revisiting.

Not as good as I'd thought it'd be. The great threat of the zombie ocean was easily taken care of and the coup that was that was trying to be staged failed too easy. I never actually got the the feeling that any of the character were in any real danger. But still a good enough read and a nice little surprise twist that sort of made up for the poor plot.

This issue of The Walking Dead is a tough one for fans. Major character death (no spoilers here!) and surprisingly helpful when dealing with the complex emotions that come from losing a loved one.Robert Kirkman does it again with incredible writing, and Charlie Adlard bringing it to life with his illustrations.

Amazing, I find the books go in cycles of a bit dull, great, bit dull....however the last few have really grabbed my attention again. I some times switch off and wish the zombies would eat the lot of em and be done with it but this volume felt like a move forward. Try reading them from the start again and see how quickly you get bored of the prison story.......

Great Comics, Better than TV Show.

Really on the up. The comic series continues to be way better than the TV show. Kirkman is on fire with this volume. bring tissues.
