I waited until I had slept on this topper for a bit before posting a review.First, it was and still is a little over 4 inches thick. I measured with a ruler when I first got it two months ago and again today.It is VERY comfortable! It is on the soft side, but not too soft for me because my firm mattress is beneath it. I had read in another review that if you're a large person, you may still have some pressure points, and though I am definitely a large person, I have no problems with this. The only issue I have is that it takes some finagling to figure out the most comfortable way to sit on it if you, like I, do a lot of things on your bed. I live in a studio apartment, so my bed is not just my bed -- it's also my desk and my dining table and my sofa.The most important part, though, is that my back pain is gone. I had another topper, a 2-inch gel/foam thing, that rid me of my lower back pain for a while, but after five months I started hurting again. I'm thinking this one might do better. It just feels more durable than the other one did. Well worth the price, imo. Someday I'll spend $1,000 on a bed, but until I at a point to do that, this topper is more than adequate.UPDATED: I got this topper 15 months ago. It’s still comfy, hasn’t flattened and have given me a lot of extra time with my crappy old mattress. Don’t plan on buying another topper or mattress for quite a while yet.UPDATED AGAIN: It’s been almost 2 years at this point, & this topper has give my crappy IKEA mattress a lot of extra life. Still super comfy, still no back pain. VERY swell worth it.

They are confortable.

This is a pretty decent topper in my opinion, but it never reached 4 inches. It arrived neatly rolled in a drawstring nylon-type bag, wrapped in plastic, and vacuum sealed. As soon as I made a hole in the plastic, it started to inflate. By the time we removed all of the plastic (took less than 20 seconds), it was fully inflated. We let it rest but it never got all the way to 4 inches. However, it is quite soft and comfortable. It really benefitted us to put this on top of our firm king mattress. It regains its original shape almost as soon as you get off of it after a full night's sleep. And I really like that it comes contained in zippered case already, that's a definite plus.There are a few things that could improve this. One, if the customer pays for 4 inches then this needs to be quality checked to ensure that it's actually 4 inches (I'm annoyed by this but not enough to go through the trouble of sending it back). Two, it was slightly oversized for our standard king mattress - also a quality control thing. We had to pull and tweak it to make it even on all sides but there was still a slight overhang all around when all was said and done. Three, it would be nice if the edges could be contoured. The foam is cut in a way that makes it slide. Some contouring to make it fit to the mattress would be nice.All in all, it is pretty good. Those are small things that could make a good topper a great topper. (This was purchased at full price - no discount was given for this review.)

3 weeks in and I'm impressed with topGel layer's coushiomed spftness and the firmer foam layer underneath that to ensure you're not sleeping in jello but in a cloud that has a firm base layer to hold you confidently and comfortably, in addition to the blue top soft sleeping layer. It's never hot to sleep on, always cool and comfortable. Just the right amount of cosseting my 185lb 6'tall man body without feeling too soft to where my back and joints would hurt. It really does support all the pressure points of the body that come into contact with the gel foam, and provides an extremely comfortable amount of support for each body part while not being too firm andUncomfortably hard, and alsoIt provides a soft body caressing cloud to get an amazing nights sleep on.I placed mine on top of my 15yr old queen firm mattress and base and it's like a new bed was delivered. My bed was hard to the point that my back and neck would ache after sleeping on it for more than 6-7 hours. I now float to sleep on this same bed, but with the addition of the foam topper it has completely changed the comfort level of the bed to something thatI look forward to lying on, and I don't wake up with aches in my back and shoulders and neck from tossing and turning and trying to find a comfortable spot to get some sleep on the mattress before I bought the foam topper.It has made my bed perfect, and I don't move around during the night to find more comfortable spots because the foam caresses my body gently and allows me to forget my daily worries and also my sleep worries. It has renewed my bed and renewed my sleeping and renewed my overall body health and comfort, resulting in me being refreshed and ready to take on whatever the world throws at me after sleeping and resting perfectly.Thank you for creating this wonderful addition to my bed, sleep, and enhancing my life through much better rest every night.

I can't stress enough how comfortable this mattress topper is. I suffer from sciatica and also have bad hips. Before I purchased this topper, I would toss and turn throughout the night, waking up frequently. The difference with this mattress topper is amazing, and my only regret is that I waited so long to try it. If you buy it, make sure to give it time to fully inflate before using it. Mine took a couple days to rise fully to the 4" height. The removable cover is a really nice touch. For reference, I am 6 feet tall and weigh 215 pounds. If you are larger than me, I would go with a thicker mattress, 5" or 6" at least. Get a topper with the thickest memory foam that you can.

Have a very hard and uncomfortable RV mattress. Bought this item and and the pain I was getting from the hard RV mattress melted away. It solved the problem and now our bed is so comfortable. I am happy with this purchase. I recommend this product

Por causas ajenas a nuestro control pasaremos algunos meses fuera de casa. En donde estamos viviendo actualmente hay una cama con colchón viejo. Después de levantarme durante un par de meses con dolores de espalda y rodilla, decidimos buscar una solución.Este Topper hace exactamente lo que dice y básicamente ahora es posible dormir cómodos sin despertar adoloridos.Incluso creo que lo pondré en mi colchón cuando regrese a casa.

It is exactly as listed. Good quality, great price. Love the washable cover. Made bed comfortable. However was really hoping it would alleviate mine an my husbands lower back pain. Not sure if it's worse or same unfortunately.

This topper is so comfortable. No more waking up with sore hips or an aching back. Although this topper is a little longer than our short trailer mattress it feels heavenly and is a great value.
