What a difference
Upon my son getting out of the Army and registering for school, he found himself unable to find a home for his dog due to ongoing skin problems. (Couldn't find place that would allow dogs.) Her hair had fallen out on her flanks, skin was red and she smelled terrible. She also had terrible gas like I have never seen before. He had been to the vets several times for this, getting various food recommendations, pills and shampoos. I took his dog for the year and decided to try various things to clear it up, like using natural cleaners on the crate, changing to this food and continuing the fish oil capsules he already had for her. Within a week, her skin was no longer inflamed, gas is gone and hair started to grow back. A few weeks later now and still an ongoing process but she is healing. This food eliminates many common allergens and supplies probiotics as well. (My vet gave me a list of allergens for dogs and number one on list is food colorings, who knew?) Only problem I found was her stool became so small that she couldn't always control it, so started mixing a small amount of Rachel Ray's Nutrish with it to bulk it up. While this food is more expensive than others bought at the store, you need to use far less per day so the price balances out.

Love this food
I've tried tons of high end dog foods for my 2 Australian Shepherds and have finally landed on the one that they like, and that likes THEM, the best. They've had no issues with diarrhea or upset bellies and they eat every crumb of it at "lunch" and "dinner".They also make the same food for dogs with arthritis problems, called Help for Hips or something like that. I may start buying that as well for my older dog.I can't say enough good things about it. The dog food adviser page rates this food at 4 out of 5 stars. I rate it 5 out of 5, and at a lower price than the other high end, name brand dry dog foods!!I should add that at their dinner meal (evening), I give them Honest Kitchen food with a small amount of Vitality for the fiber and just to fill them up a little bit more. It's a perfect combo!!EDIT: 12/10/2013 I wanted to add that eventually my youngest Aussie developed stomach issues with this food. I have since switched him to the Simply Nourish Lamb and Oatmeal mixed with any of the Honest kitchen's foods. I can't say what the problem was with this food but one of my dogs still eats it and is happy on it, but for my youngster pup, he's just got one of those stomachs that is very hard to please.

Hooked On Happy Hips
It's simple really, My dog is a very picky eater, not to mention she's allergic to so many things. We tried a lot of the name brand dog foods out there (Iams, Avoderm, Science Diet). Nothing worked, so then one night when she was out of food I went to the store and grabbed two small bags of dog food. Happy Hips was one of them. She immediately wanted to smell the bag right after opening it (which she never did before), and as soon as we put it in her bowl she devoured it. With all of the dog food we had previously given her we always had to mix it with something just to get her to eat it, that wasn't the case with Happy Hips, she ate it dry the first night and is still eating it dry 2 months later. She always got bored with the other dog food, after a couple weeks she would stop eating and/or put her nose up to it. She doesn't do that with Happy Hips. She absolutely loves it. Plus it's all natural and made in the U.S.A. You pay more for it, but it's well worth it. If you have never given this to your dog, it may be best to start them off with 4 pound bag or find somewhere you can get a free sample. But I would strongly recommend this to anyone who has a dog. I have also found that Amazon is so far the cheapest place to buy this dog food, and when I buy it, I get the free shipping as well.

My Juvie, Standing With Comfort, at Last!
I was looking for dog food from Amazon.com so I wouldn't have to drive so far when I noticed this Happy Hips dog food. I take care of my daughter's dog. She lives in an apartment with her cat and couldn't take this sweet chow mix home with her when as a stray she entered her work place and make a bee line right to my daughter. We are all dog people and so she asked me to take in another stray. Soon after our little Juvie began to drag herself around. We took her into the vets and her hips are really out of whack. There was nothing we could do or afford. She seemed happy but very inactive. After I began feeding her the Happy Hip, which she loves, she began standing more and even playing with the new puppy. I began feeding my other dog (he is two years old now), mixing the old food with the Happy Hips. He will eat all the Happy Hips and leave the old food until I admonish him to finish his dinner. Both dogs are really happy with Happy Hips.

Hey Mikey, She Likes It
My dogs are really, really, really picky and usually will be okay with one bag of dry dog food until it's about 2/3 gone and then just not want the rest of it. I was hunting for the next bag of dog food they would hate when I saw a small bag of this at the local big box store. Since they're both 13 I thought the idea of having happy hips was a good one. And they actually ate this food willingly so I bought another small bag. Same thing. So then I looked for a big bag of this and nobody locally had it. No worries, I have Amazon Prime. I've now been through several bags of this and they're still eating it. Seems like a good situation and, of course, the dog food just shows up on my doorstep so that's easier for me. The ingredients are almost all recognizable stuff which is another plus. Seems like good stuff.
