Anne: Season 1 / Anne With An E: Season 2

This adaptation is definitely not true to Lucy Maud Montgomery’s original books but a delightful series in its own right. Now that I have seen Amybeth McNulty as Anne Shirley, I cannot imagine another actor in that role. She is gawky, fresh faced, and irrepressibly optimistic and really matched my mental image of Anne. Some of the current day political correctness seems to have been thrown into the series to appeal to younger viewers but it didn’t detract too much from the story and the scenery of Prince Edward Island is truly incredible. Kudos to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for this version of the Anne of Green Gable story and when can I purchase season three?

I loved every second of this series. Beautifully done. Ordered it so I can watch anytime I need inspiration, peace or a little courage and so I can share with my family. Everyone I know loves this series passionately.

Love this show! I could watch it forever! Very well done and similar to storyline of the book although not perfectly accurate. Like it better than the book actually!

Ever so dearly it exceeded my expectations! Great quality and in great condition. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the episodes I had missed on TV to catch up on the seasons. I laughed, I cried...

The story is for all ages. Casting, Settings. Special effects, Photography. A beautiful film of a beautiful story. DONOT PASS THIS ONE !

My bride requested this series after seeing a video on Hallmark channel. She is very happy. 😊

Except for the second season's propaganda about the gay agenda, I've thoroughly enjoyed every episode. The script, the actors, the photography, everything is just beautiful, and draws you right into their lives. I love the books by Montgomery, and though the movie presentations do not completely follow the books they do carry the main threads through, and are for the most part very uplifting and worth watching. I love the characterization of Anne, Matthew, Marilla, and Gilbert, and so many others. It was cast with excellence.

日本のアニメからファンになり、原作をアンが結婚するまで読みました。何度か映画が作られ見ていましたが私の世界からは遠い感じがしました。ところがこの作品は違います！　断言できます！　アンはやせっぽちでけっして美人ではありません、ですが表情豊かで必死に生きています。全力で走り、思いきり泣きます。私も泣きます。アンを見守るマリラもマシューも本当の親以上の誠意と言葉と愛情を注ぎます。この作品には虐待や差別や偏見が描かれ、見ている我々の良心に語りかけます。行き詰まった今の現代社会の悪癖を打破するヒントをも見事に描ききったこのシリーズはぜひとも作り続けてほしい。家具やポットや食器や昔のしきたりや風景も音楽も好きです。ただしこの輸入版DVDは日本語吹き替えも字幕もありませんのでご注意下さい。わたしはついて行くのがやっとですが発音がイギリス風なのでわかりやすいです。　日本語吹き替え版ができたらまた買うつもりです。(^-^)v

やはり字幕スーパー版が観たかったです

海外から直輸入とのことですが、ケースの破損がひどかったです。角の部分が砕けていて、ケース内部までに入っていました。ディスクにも破片のせいか少し傷がついていて(再生には問題ありませんでした)ちょっとな‥と思いました。二度とは買わないな、というのが感想です。

返品不可の商品については、予め、丁寧な説明が欲しかったと思います。並行輸入品とのことでしたが、とても薄っぺらなディスクで映像も粗末でした。この程度の商品だと言うことを伝えて欲しかったです☆条件付きでも返品可、とすればこんな粗悪な商品が流通することは防げるのでは無いでしょうか。友人が英会話の勉強に使えるとのことで差し上げましたので、全く無駄にはならず感謝でした。
