Good product
Applied with a brush but needed to water it Down by less than 2% to allow it to flow. Finish was hard, Dead flat was very dull so went back to Satin.

Great product and worth the money
Love this product. We built a farmhouse table for our patio and used this product over chalkboard paint. I put three coats on Polyvine since the table is outdoors (covered patio) in the heat and humidity of Oklahoma. It is so durable and easy to clean. I would use this again. Also a plus is no odor and dries quickly.

Similar to Polyvine Decorator's Varnish Dead Flat, but not!
I use either Decorator's Varnish (DV) or Wood Varnish (WV) on painted furniture - sometimes both on the same piece, sepending on part being varnished. Both produce a beautiful, satin smooth finish when lightly sanded; both give wonderful depth to large surfaces, and have the slightest sheen when buffed. I usually go with 3 coats of DV on a piece, 2 of WV. I I use WV on the tops of low dressers and bookcase shelves, as it seems to stand up to bumps and knocks even better that DV. The biggest difference is drying time. I find that DV dries so fast that it's difficult to get long strokes without lap lines on large surfaces. Since the DV takes longer to dry, it's easier to get brush strokes from end to end of a large surface without worry about the varnish drying out faster than you can work. The WV needs about a day before you can safely handle it without fingerprints, and 2 - 3 days before you can turn the varnished surface face-side down onto another surface with sticking or picking up debris (learned the hard way!)I paint furniture for a living, and I love both of these products. I've tried two other dead flat finish varnishes, but was unhappy with the finished product. I highly recommend both.

Don’t use on WHITE!
This wasn’t supposed to turn my white bed yellow... was it? Well it did. I ended up using more paint to cover it so it would be a white bed. Probably a bad choice in product. Others love it but what a disappointment. I will say it worked great on my blue project!
